SALISBURY – Livingstone College football fans can now make their 2023 plans with certainty as the department has released the football schedule for the upcoming season. The Blue Bears will compete in 10 total games during the season, with five at home and five outside the city of Salisbury.
Livingstone College will start its year at home for the second straight year in 2023, kicking off the slate in Salisbury to take on Bluefield State University on Sept. 2 at Alumni Memorial Stadium. In the following week on Sept. 9, the Blue Bears will travel down the road and take on Catawba College.
Livingstone will open Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association play on the road on Sept. 16, as they take on Virginia Union University inside Alumni Memorial Stadium, the following weekend the Blue Bears will travel to Ettrick, Virginia to take on Virginia State University.
September will close with the Blue Bears hosting Bowie State University on Sept. 30. Flipping into October, Livingstone will meet Winston-Salem State University in Bowman Gray Stadium on Oct. 7, before Winston-Salem State the Blue Bears will head back on the road for a meeting with Fayetteville State University on Oct. 14.
After a two-week road trip, the Blue Bears and Bears of Shaw University will meet at Alumni Memorial Stadium on Oct. 21 for homecoming.
St. Augustine's University will make the trip to Salisbury on Oct. 28 for the last home game of the season, before the Blue Bears hit the road for the 131st Commemorative Classic on Nov. 4 against Johnson C. Smith University.
