Jaden Echols Named Player of The Week

SALISBURY — Linebacker Jaden Echols has been named one of nine Food Lion Players of the Week, the CIAA announced on Monday morning.

The Junior earned the award based on his performance in the season opener against Catawba College on Saturday evening.

The Griffin, Georgia, native had a total of 10 tackles, five solo and five assisted tackles.

"Picking up where he left off. Playing sideline to sideline," said Head Coach Sean Gilbert.

Echols is currently ranked third in the CIAA for tackles.
