JACKSONVILLE, North Carolina – Livingstone College men's golf team finished third at the 2023 CIAA Golf Championship Monday and Tuesday at the Jacksonville Country Club after three rounds of competition.

Livingstone, finishing with a 296 in round one, the Blue Bears posted a 300 in round two, and 296 in round three for a total score of 892. 

The Blue Bears were 19 shots behind Fayetteville State University, the 2023 CIAA Golf Champions, who finished round one with a 295, round two with a 288, and a 290 in round three.  

After three rounds, Emmanuel Jakisa stood tied for third overall in the 2023 CIAA Golf Championship. Jakisa, 218 (72-75-71). Joel Basalaine, finished fifth with a 222 (72-75-75).

Both Emmanuel Jakisa and Joel Basalaine made the 2023 CIAA All-Tournament team by placing top five. 

 Christopher Baguma and Ronald Otile were named to the 2023 CIAA All-Conference Team.
