Livingstone Golf Finishes Fifth at CIAA Championship

Mebane, N.C.- The Livingstone College men's golf team wrapped up competition at the CIAA Golf Championship by finishing fifth out of eight teams, posting a three-round total of +51 for the tournament.

The Blue Bears opened the championship with a solid +20 in Round 1, followed by +18 in Round 2 and +13 in the final round, showing steady improvement as the event concluded.
Fayetteville State claimed the CIAA title, while Winston-Salem State finished second, Virginia State took third, and Bluefield State placed fourth.

Livingstone was led by a pair of strong individual performances from Emmanuel Adrabo and Michael Alunga, who both tied for 11th place overall at +8 (224). Adrabo recorded rounds of 77, 75, and a team-best 72 to close the tournament, while Alunga carded rounds of 75, 73, and 76.

Denis Asaba finished tied for 19th at +16 (232) after posting consistent scores across all three rounds. Cameron Tiwkohng placed 30th at +26 (242), and Antonio Jofferion rounded out the lineup, finishing 33rd at +28 (244).

The Blue Bears' fifth-place finish reflects continued growth and competitive depth as the program moves toward postseason play.

Livingstone returns to action on Sunday, April 26, when the team competes at the Division II Regional Preview.
