Blue Bears Close Season Strong with 6th-Place Finish at PGA WORKS Championship

West Palm Beach, FL- Livingstone College wrapped up its season with a strong showing at the PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, earning a 6th-place finish nationally against some of the top collegiate programs in the country. The Blue Bears finished the tournament with a team score of 928 (+76), highlighted by rounds of 309, 318, and a final-round 301 — their best round of the championship.

Leading the way for Livingstone was Denis Asaba, who delivered an outstanding tournament performance to finish 2nd individually overall. Asaba remained consistent throughout all three rounds, carding scores of 72, 73, and 72 to finish at +4 with a total score of 217, cementing himself among the top players in the field.

The Blue Bears also received key contributions throughout the lineup from: Competing against programs such as Western New Mexico University, Morehouse College, Texas A&M International University, and Kentucky State University, Livingstone continued to represent the college with pride and determination on a national stage.

The PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship marked the conclusion of the Blue Bears' season, capping off a year filled with growth, perseverance, and memorable performances. The team's strong finish — especially their final-round surge — reflected the progress made throughout the year and the bright future ahead for the program.
