Salisbury, NC - Senior, Xavier Procter was named the best of the best by earning the 2022 CIAA Golf Player of the Year.  Procter, a native of Shelby, NC came on strong throughout the season to lead the Blue Bears to a overwhelming victory in the CIAA Golf Championship that was held in Dunn, NC at the Chicora Country Club.  He shot a two round 141.  It was enough to tie for the overall lowest margin, however, he had to participate in a playoff with his teammate and roommate Joel Basalaine.  Basalaine outlasted Proctor in the two round post tournament event to earn the Lowest Margin Award for the championship tournament.  

Throughout the season he has performed exemplary and gained notice of all competitors.  He finished with the lowest score across four CIAA Southern Division events with a 72.5 average. Proctor finished top 4 in every CIAA South event (148-2^nd, 145-4^th, 140-1^st, & 147-3^rd), including first in the JCSU Golden Bulls Shootout.
