SALISBURY – Livingstone College men's golf team moved down one spot in the second round Tuesday at the Country Club of Salisbury to stand sixth after 36 holes of the Richard Rendleman Invitational.
Livingstone, after a 24-over 308 on Monday, posted a 20-over 304 in the second round to stand at 44-over par 612. The Blue Bears were 19 shots behind leader Catawba College who led with a round of 13-over 297 on Monday and to stand at 25-over par 593.
Livingstone was 23 shots ahead of seventh place Mars Hill at 635 after 34-over 318 on Monday and a 33-over 317 on day two.
After 36 holes, Joel Basalaine stood at 8-over par 150 (77-73) and was tied for tenth with Nicholas Taggart of Tusculum University (76-74).
Xavier Proctor, stood 9-over par 151 (73-78), to tie for twelfth with Edardo Arango Perigault of Belmont Abby (77-74) and Trey Cauthen of North Greenville University (76-75),
