Golf Wraps Up Fall Season Taking Second at River City Classic

HENRICO, Virginia – Livingstone College men's golf team finished second at the River City Collegiate Classic Tuesday afternoon at the CCV - James River Course and Belmont after two rounds of competition.

Livingstone, finishing with a 318 in round one, the Blue Bears posted a 318 in round two to stand second with a total score of 636. 

The Blue Bears were 10 shots behind leader Virginia Union, finiahed round one with a 316, and round two with a 310. 

The Blue Bears were 34 shots ahead of Virginia State University, 35 shots ahead of Winston-Salem State University, and 46 shots ahead of Johnson C. Smith University.

After two rounds, Christopher Baguma and Xavier Proctor both stood at 11-over par. Baguma, 155 (80-75) and was tied for third overall. Proctor, 155 (78-77) was tied for third overall.

Also, in the top 10 for Livingstone, Joel Basalanie, standing 21-over par 165 (81-84), finished tied for ninth, along with Alex Chenard and Jacob Moore from Winston-Salem State University, and Michael Ebosh from Virginia State University.
