CARY, North Carolina – Livingstone College men's golf team wrapped up the 2022 SAS Championship Division II HBCU Invitational Saturday afternoon at the Prestonwood Country Club to stand third after three rounds of competition.

Livingstone, after finishing with a 293 in round one, the Blue Bears posted a 284 in the second round and finished with a 292 in round three to stand third with an 869. 

The Blue Bears were 16 shots behind leader Miles College who were behind in round one with a 295, and in round two with a 285. 

The Golden Bears led in round three with a score of 272. 

Livingstone was one shot behind CIAA opponent Virginia Union. However, the Blue Bears were 69 shots ahead of Winston -Salem State and 92 shots ahead of Johnson C. Smith.

After three rounds, Christopher Baguma stood at 2-over par 212 (70-72-70) and was fifth overall. 

Also, in the top 10 for Livingstone, Xavier Proctor, standing 8-over par 218 (77-70-71), finished ninth. Joel Basalaine, stood 9-over par 219 (74-71-74) finishing 10th.
