Blue Bear Basketball on AsPire TV versus Virginia State

ETTRICK, Va.- The Blue Bears face another tough CIAA opponent, the Trojans of Virginia State University on Saturday, January 9 in Daniel Gymnasium. Tip-off is set for 4 p.m.

The Trojans has an 8-3 overall record, 3-0 in the conference while the Blue Bears fell in conference play against Elizabeth City State on Thursday. The Blue Bears are 7-7 overall and 2-1 in the conference.

In the Trojans and Blue Bears last meeting in January 2015, VSU came out victorious with a 70-62 win.

Aspire television network launched in June 2012 created by legendary basketball star Earvin Magic Johnson. Aspire seeks to provide family friendly aspirational television focused on the African American population. One main focus for both Aspire and Urban Sports & Entertainment Group is highlighting HBCU's across the nation and providing live coverage of HBCU sporting events to mass audiences.

The Lady Blue Bears and Trojans will tip-off at 1 p.m. to accommodate the tv time for the men's game.
