Salisbury, NC- The Livingstone College women's basketball team suffered a 73-53 loss to the Belmont Abbey Lady Crusaders on Saturday evening.

The Lady Blue Bears had two players to score double figures.

Ashley Walker paced the Lady Blue Bears offense with 16 points while Alexis Hicks followed with 10 points. Eight of Hicks points came from the free throw line.

Tiffany Evans, Cierra York and Diamond Tolliver added six points to the score respectively.

Defensively the Lady Blue Bears were edged by Wende Foster who recorded a game high 10 rebounds and five blocks.  Hicks also recorded eight rebounds.

As a team, the Lady Blue Bears shot 31.6 percent (18-of-57) shots from the field.

The Lady Blue Bears are now 3-3 on the season.

Livingstone will return to action on November 26 as they host Claflin University. Game time is slated for 5:30 p.m.
