Baltimore, MD — The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association has released its 2026 Men's and Women's All‑CIAA Basketball Teams, highlighting a regular season filled with tight division battles, dramatic late‑season swings, and standout individual performances across the conference. Among this year's most celebrated honorees is Livingstone College sophomore forward Breasia Coit, who earned All‑CIAA First‑Team honors for the first time in her career, along with the elite title of CIAA Defensive Player of the Year.

Coit established herself as one of the most dominant interior defenders in the CIAA. Her relentless rebounding, shot‑altering presence, and physicality around the rim shaped the identity of Livingstone's defense. Her consistent impact was recognized throughout the season, including a stretch in early January where she totaled 36 points, 32 rebounds, nine blocks, and two steals across three games — showcasing the all‑around dominance that became her trademark.  

But her defining moment — the performance that crystallized her rise — came in Livingstone's February 22 upset victory over Winston‑Salem State. In that game, Coit delivered 12 points, 21 rebounds, and six blocks, with the 21 rebounds marking a new career high as she controlled the paint from start to finish.

Her ability to dominate the boards and shut down opposing offenses set her apart across the conference. Whether protecting the rim or sparking transition play with defensive stops, Coit's presence fundamentally changed games and elevated those around her.

This year's honors speak not only to her production, but to her evolution into a cornerstone of Livingstone College basketball. As just a sophomore, Coit's ceiling continues to rise, and the CIAA has taken notice.
