A balanced scoring attack paced the Livingstone College Blue Bears to a 76-59 victory over the Fayetteville State University Broncos.
Leading 39-33 at the half, the Blue Bears led by as many as 19 points with 11:18 to play in the second half, after a made shot by Jody Hill.
Hill led the Blue Bears in scoring with 15 points on six-for-13 shooting in the field. Anthony Welch finished 14 points while Eladio Espinoza contributed 11 points and seven rebounds.
The Broncos were led in scoring by Tyrrel Tate's double-double; 21 points and 11 rebounds.
As a team, the Blue Bears finished the night with a 45 percent field goal shooting average, and hit 17-of-26 shots (65 percent) from behind the three point line.
The Blue Bears improve their record to 14-3 overall and 6-2 in conference play.
Livingstone will return to action on Saturday, January 26 as they go head-to-head with their rival Johnson C. Smith University. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m. The game will be played in Trent Gymnasium.
