SALISBURY - Livingstone College men's basketball is set to compete in the HBCU All-Star Challenge on Friday, November 18, and Saturday, November 19 in Forbes Arena.
The schools that will be participating are Albany State, Virginia Union, LeMoyne-Owen, Shaw University, Tuskegee, Fayetteville State, Livingstone, Booker T. Washington HS, Maynard H, Jackson, Norfolk State, Alabama A&M, and Morehouse.
The Blue Bears will face Morehouse College Friday at 7:00 p.m and Albany State University on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. Click here for the full schedule of games.

HBCU All-Stars LLC has announced the inaugural ATL Has Something to Say HBCU Challenge featuring the nation's top HBCU student-athletes and coaches from the MEAC, SWAC, CIAA, SIAC, and Atlanta Public Schools, who have demonstrated a high level of talent, hard work, commitment, and winning in Black College Basketball. "This is history in the making and we have partnered with the Davis & Bozeman Law Firm for the Power of HBCU Sports in our Social Justice Town Hall & Panel Discussion. We get to share insight into the economic, cultural, and political power of sports at HBCUs," said Travis L. Williams, HBCU All-Stars, LLC Founder/CEO and former HBCU Head Men's Basketball Coach at Tennessee State and Fort Valley State Universities. "It is a great opportunity and platform to tip-off the 2022-23 basketball season and celebrates Black History, Black Excellence, and Black Cultural Experiences. We will continue raising national awareness of our prestigious HBCUs and long legacy of academic and athletic achievement on a global stage in the great city of Atlanta, and magnify community outreach and initiatives, financial commitment, resources, and love for HBCUs, students, student-athletes, and academic scholarships."
The ATL Has Something to Say HBCU Challenge will be in the heart of Atlanta and played on the beautiful campus of Morehouse College at Forbes Arena. Atlanta, a true sports town, basketball hotbed, and very diverse city, is among the best places to live, work, and make a difference in communities and the world. Atlanta is home to some of the most distinguished and exclusive HBCUs, influencers, alumni, ambassadors, faculty, staff, boosters, key stakeholders, and fans.
The event already has unwavering support from the local sports community, government, business, civic, church, community leaders, parks and recreation organizations, high schools, colleges, universities, alumni, fans, professional teams, radio, television stations, personalities, musicians, celebrities, and entertainers. Despite the event being in its inaugural year, more than 5,000 fans are expected to attend these very high-level and competitive ATL HBCU Challenge games over two days with Morehouse College, Tuskegee University, Albany State University, and LeMoyne-Owen College representing the SIAC and competing against Fayetteville State University, Shaw University, Livingstone College, and Virginia Union University from the CIAA. Alabama A&M University in the SWAC will play the night cap game on Saturday, November 19th versus back-to-back MEAC Champions Norfolk State University, along with Atlanta Public Schools rivalry games between Booker T. Washington and Maynard Jackson High Schools.
The 2022 ATL Has Something to Say HBCU Challenge is a premier black college basketball sports event highlighting the best HBCU players and coaches in the country and will be held at Morehouse College in Forbes Arena in Atlanta on Friday, November 18 with four games, starting at 1 p.m., ET and Saturday, November 19, with five games starting at 12 p.m., ET, and the Atlanta Public Schools game starting at 10 a.m., ET.
