Track and Field Travels to Charlotte for JCSU Invitational

SALISBURY, N.C. – Livingstone College along with 19 different schools will take part in the JCSU Invitational this weekend at the Irwin Belk Complex on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University.

Competition kicks off Friday, April 8 at 1:00 p.m. with the hammer throw followed by the javelin at 4:00 p.m.

On Saturday, a full slate of events starts at 9:00 a.m. with the continuation of field events starting with the discus at 9:00 a.m., followed by the shot put, long jump, high jump and triple jump. All events are on a rolling schedule.

Also starting at 9:00 a.m. Saturday are the track events. The 3000 steeplechase kicks things off followed by the 4x100 relay, both 100 and 110 hurdle preliminaries followed by the 100m prelims and the 800m run.

Following a short lunch break, the program finishes in the afternoon with finals in all events.
