Blue Bears Fall to St. Aug's

Livingstone fell to CIAA foe St. Augustine's, 70-64, in Emery Gym.

The Blue Bears trailed at halftime, 38-32, and with the lost, couldn't move ahead of the Falcons. Both teams are now 6-9 in the CIAA. Livingstone is 11-16 overall while St. Augustine's improves to 11-14.

Ty Newman continued his good work for the Blue Bears, leading the team with 21 points on 10-of-17 shooting. He made one free throw.

Cordero Holt and Daryl Trynham followed Newman with 10 points each. Nasir Austin paced the Livingstone rebounding with seven boards.

Quincy January led St. Augustine's with a double-double, 17 points and 11 rebounds. Anthony Gaskins led the Falcons in scoring with 22 points.

The Blue Bears final regular season is Saturday against the Rams of Winston-Salem State. Tip off is set for 2 p.m.
