Anthony Welch, Jr., capped the Blue Bears senior night with a double-double performance. Welch led all scorers with 28 points and 10 rebounds.
The Blue Bears had three players to score figures.

James Stinson on the sideline, the Blue Bears kept their focus on obtaining another victory. Â With an assist from Thomas, Welch opened up the first half with a three pointer. These two proved to be a great dynamic duo the Golden Bulls couldn't stop. Both players finished the first half in double digits.
The Golden Bulls wouldn't make the game easy for Livingstone. The Blue Bears led by as much as eight points, but found themselves tied three times with JCSU. Welch managed to score a layup at the buzzard for the lead 43-41 at the half.
JCSU silenced Jody Hill in the first half, but Hill made his presence known by scoring 15 points in the second half. He finished the game with 15 points.
The Blue Bears led by as much as 10 points early in the second half. Once Livingstone got comfortable JCSU began to find a rhythm of their own and cut a 10-point deficit down to trail by only two points with less than four minutes to play.
Livingstone refocused their defense and forces big turnovers. One of those turnovers resulted in Hill hitting a triple to break the tied game with 1:16 left to play. The Blue Bears played smart basketball to finish the game victorious.
Thomas finished the game with 21 points and nine assists.
The Blue Bears improves their record to 16-6 overall and 9-4 in the CIAA.
Livingstone will compete in their final home game of the season as they host the Broncos of Fayetteville State University. Game time is slated for 7:30 p.m.
