The Women's Tennis program hosted its first tennis clinic, August 7-9, 2013, at the William Trent Athletic Complex tennis courts.
The John Daniels Principles of Tennis Clinic, received an enthusiastic response from the youth ages 7 to 15.
Gwen Jackson, head coach and clinic organizer was in charge of the three-day clinic. "The clinic was to develop youth skills ages 7-17 years old. The clinic tournament competition gave the participants an edge so they can pursue any desire for their highest levels for competing in tennis and in any interest they have," said Coach Jackson.

The clinic for beginners was instructed by John Daniels, former player for Livingstone College's Men's Tennis, and focused on; physical fitness, nutrition, and fundamental skill development along with games to advance skill and love for the game. The Intermediate participants were coached by Head Coach
Gwen Jackson, and focused on physical fitness, nutrition, fundamental skills and helping players become more competitive in matches and tournaments. LC Women's Tennis Captain, Tenisha Dickerson was the Clinic Volunteer.
On the last day of the clinic a tournament was held for the players to put their lessons and practices to use. The players were very competitive and showed a lot of energy all three days of the clinic.
