SALISBURY, NC — Livingstone College kicker
Jason Zapata has been named the Special Teams Player of the Week following his standout performance against Shaw University.
Zapata was a key contributor for the Blue Bears on special teams, connecting on two field goals, including successful attempts from 44 and 41 yards. He also converted all three of his extra-point attempts, finishing a perfect 3-for-3 on PATs.
On kickoffs, Zapata recorded five kicks for 305 total yards, averaging 61.0 yards per kickoff and recording two touchbacks. His consistency in the kicking game provided valuable points and field position for the Blue Bears.
