SALISBURY, NC — Livingstone College defensive back Derrick York has been named the CIAA Defensive Back of the Week following his standout performance against Winston-Salem State University.
York was a key contributor to the Livingstone defense, finishing the game with eight total tackles, including seven solo tackles and one assisted tackle. He also recorded an interception, helping the Blue Bears limit the Rams' offense and secure a 21–13 victory.
York's performance was instrumental in Livingstone's defensive effort, particularly in the second half, when the Blue Bears held Winston-Salem State scoreless to preserve the victory.
