Salisbury, NC- The Livingstone College Esports Program is preparing for its most exciting season yet as it celebrates its third year of competition and officially transitions into the nationally recognized PlayVS League, marking a significant milestone in the program's continued growth and development.

The transition to PlayVS took place during the summer of 2026 and ushers in a new chapter for Livingstone Esports as the program moves toward a year-round competitive sports model, expanding opportunities for student-athletes, increasing exposure, and strengthening the institution's presence in collegiate gaming.

The official kickoff of the new season will begin in September 2026, coinciding with the launch of the program's brand-new Livingstone College Esports Lounge, a modern gaming and engagement space designed to enhance the student-athlete experience and support competitive excellence.

This transformative growth has been made possible through the support of key partners, including eNASCAR and the BCGA (Black Collegiate Gaming Association), whose commitment to advancing esports opportunities for students has helped position Livingstone College among emerging leaders in collegiate gaming.

Leading the charge is Christopher Davis, Director of Esports, whose vision, leadership, and dedication have elevated the program to new heights over the past three years.

"Coach Davis has worked tirelessly to build a competitive and sustainable esports program that provides meaningful opportunities for our students," said Livingstone College Athletics leadership. "His efforts have transformed esports into an exciting and thriving component of our athletic enterprise, and we are eager to see what this next chapter brings."

Supporting the program's continued success will be Kayla Symone Price, who will serve as the program's official Sports Administrator. In this role, Price will provide administrative leadership, operational support, and strategic coordination to ensure the program's student-athletes and staff have the resources needed to succeed both in and out of competition.

With a new league affiliation, enhanced partnerships, expanded facilities, and a talented leadership team in place, the Livingstone College Esports Program is poised for a breakthrough season.

As competition begins this fall, one thing is certain: the Blue Bears are coming in hot. The future of Livingstone Esports has arrived, and game time is right around the corner.
