. – The Livingstone College men's track & field team delivered a strong showing at the John Weaver Invitational, finishing fourth overall with 83 points. Host Appalachian State claimed the team title, followed by the Virginia Tech Running Club in second and Emory & Henry in third.
Leading the way for the Blue Bears were Livingstone's top performers:

Jamir McCrae – 1st place, Triple Jump (13.54m) and 4th place, Long Jump (6.84m)

William Leverett – 2nd place, Triple Jump (13.38m)
•
Matthew Blackmon – 2nd place, 110m Hurdles (14.66)
•
Jaquan Fallin – 2nd place, 400m Hurdles (57.32)
•
Trevor Hyman – 3rd place, 200m (22.45) and 4th place, 400m (47.82)
•
Elijah Fraser – 4th place, 100m (10.74)
•
Marqui Cheeks – 5th place, Shot Put (14.79m) and 5th place, Discus (39.92m)
Relay highlights:
• 4x100m Relay – 2nd place (Fraser, Lewis, Steele, McCrary) – 40.56, meeting the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
• 4x400m Relay – 4th place (Dean, Grant, Fallin, Faro) – 3:37.34
Beyond these standout performances, the Blue Bears demonstrated remarkable depth and consistency, placing athletes in the top 15 in 12 of 15 events.
The Blue Bears return to action May 1–2 in Ettrick, Va., for the CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
