NEW ORLEANS – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced its All-Region honorees for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season on Wednesday, with six Livingstone College student-athletes earning recognition for their outstanding performances during the outdoor season.
The Livingstone men's and women's track & field teams concluded their 2026 campaign this past weekend at the Last Chance Meet hosted by Lenoir-Rhyne University. Following the conclusion of the season, the Blue Bears continued to receive accolades as multiple athletes were recognized among the top performers in the region.
To earn USTFCCCA All-Region honors, an athlete must rank among the top five in their respective individual event or be a member of a top-three relay team within their region.
For the Livingstone men's track & field team, senior
Matthew Blackmon of Melbourne, Florida, earned All-Region honors in the 110-meter hurdles after posting a time of 14.06 at the Lenoir-Rhyne Last Chance Meet. Sophomore
Trevor Hyman of Clayton, North Carolina, also earned recognition in the 400-meter dash after clocking a time of 47.10 at the same meet.
On the women's side, junior
Trinity Bethea of Tucson, Arizona, received All-Region recognition in the 400-meter dash after recording a time of 54.85 at the Last Chance Meet.
Bethea also helped lead the women's 4x100-meter relay team to All-Region honors alongside teammates
Heaven Copeland,
Ty'kira Garrett, and
Ashante Shaw. The quartet earned the honor after posting a season-best time of 46.40 at the John Weaver Invitational.
The recognition highlights another successful season for Livingstone Track & Field as the Blue Bears continue to make their mark on the regional and national stage.
