Petersburg, V.A. – The Livingstone College men's track and field team wrapped up its 2026 season with a sixth-place finish at the CIAA Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Virginia Union claimed the team title, while Johnson C. Smith finished second.
The Blue Bears placed in 12 of the 17 event groups contested at the championship.
Leading the way for the Blue Bears were several standout performances:

Jamir McCrae – 1st place, Men's Long Jump (7.26m) and 5th place, Triple Jump (14.36m)

Matthew Blackmon – 2nd place, 110m Hurdles (14.39)
•
Quinn Barber – 3rd place, Pole Vault (3.50m)
•
Anthony Sims – 3rd place, Pole Vault (3.50m)
•
Brandon Jeffers – 4th place, 5000m (16:02.57)
•
Anthony Collins – 5th place, High Jump (1.94m)
•
Marqui Cheeks – 5th place, Shot Put (14.85m)
The Blue Bears will return to action May 9–10 at the Lenoir-Rhyne Last Chance Meet as they look to improve marks for potential national qualification.
