Behind the Stories: Celebrating Tatiana Stands During CSC Appreciation Week

| By:
Behind every final score, student athlete spotlight, and game day broadcast is someone working to bring the story to life. During College Sports Communicators (CSC) Appreciation Week, Livingstone College Athletics proudly recognizes Tatiana Stands, Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Game Operations, for her dedication to sharing the Blue Bears' story and supporting the people who make it possible.

Now in her second year & third season at Livingstone, Stands manages responsibilities that reach across athletic communications, statistics, media relations, digital content, and game operations. Her work connects fans to the action while helping student athletes receive recognition for their accomplishments. From preparing information before competition to documenting the results afterward, she plays an essential role in how Livingstone Athletics is experienced and remembered.

Her career began at Johnson & Wales University in Charlotte, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Sports, Entertainment, and Event Management with a minor in Sports Management. Starting as a work-study student in game operations, she advanced into student assistant roles supporting athletic administration and sports information. Those experiences gave her a foundation in statistics, scorer's table operations, interviews, and event coordination.

Before joining Livingstone, Stands served as Assistant Athletic Director of Communications at Morehouse College, overseeing communications for eight varsity sports. Her responsibilities included website management, statistical coordination, game day operations, and coverage of student athlete and team achievements.

This past summer, Stands was one of four CIAA sports information professionals selected to visit NCAA Headquarters for professional development. The opportunity allowed her to represent Livingstone while expanding her knowledge and connecting with colleagues across collegiate athletics.

Originally from Pine Ridge, South Dakota, Stands developed her love for sports through volleyball and her experience as a basketball team manager. That early involvement has grown into a career centered on telling athletes' stories and helping athletic programs succeed.

This week, we celebrate the preparation, long hours, and care behind her work. Thank you, Tatiana, for keeping the Blue Bears informed, connected, and celebrated. Happy CSC Appreciation Week!
