Tatiana Stands enters her second season at Livingstone College as Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations and Game Operations. In her role, she oversees athletic communications, game operations, statistics, media relations, live event management, and digital content for the Blue Bears' athletic programs. She plays a key role in promoting Livingstone Athletics while ensuring a first-class game day experience for student-athletes, coaches, fans, and media.
Prior to joining Livingstone College, Stands served as Assistant Athletic Director of Communications at Morehouse College. During her tenure, she managed communications for all eight varsity sports, maintained the department's athletic website, coordinated statistical operations, and oversaw game day setup and operations. She also led efforts related to media coverage, storytelling, and the promotion of student-athlete and team accomplishments.
Stands began her collegiate athletics career at Johnson & Wales University-CLT, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports, Entertainment and Event Management with a minor in Sports Management. During her time at Johnson & Wales, she progressed through multiple roles within the athletic department, beginning as a work-study student in game operations before serving as a student assistant to the athletic administration and sports information staff. Her responsibilities included managing statistics, coordinating game operations, overseeing scorer's table operations, and conducting student-athlete and coach interviews.
A lifelong sports enthusiast, Stands developed her passion for athletics while participating in volleyball and serving as a basketball team manager during her middle and high school years. Those experiences sparked a career dedicated to collegiate athletics and student-athlete success.
Originally from Pine Ridge, South Dakota, Stands resides in Charlotte, North Carolina.
