Salisbury, NC- In front of a packed and energized crowd at William Trent Gymnasium, Livingstone College men's basketball delivered a heart-stopping finish, defeating Virginia State 60–59 in a CIAA showdown that came down to the final possession.

The game was a back-and-forth battle from start to finish, featuring five ties and nine lead changes. Livingstone trailed 25–24 at halftime but came out firing in the second half, hitting six three-pointers and pushing the pace to seize control. With less than a minute remaining, the Blue Bears clung to a one-point lead as Virginia State mounted a final push—but Livingstone's defense held firm, securing the win and sending the home crowd into celebration.
