Dunbar, WV- Livingstone College men's basketball tipped off its 2025–2026 season in a fast-paced, high-scoring matchup but fell short against West Virginia State, 100–85, in a game defined by tempo and offensive execution.
West Virginia State controlled the tempo from the start, using quick ball movement and transition scoring to build an early lead. Livingstone fought back behind strong perimeter shooting and aggressive rebounding, but defensive lapses and turnovers allowed the Yellow Jackets to maintain control throughout the game.
