Salisbury, NC — Livingstone College volleyball came up just short in a hard-fought five-set match against Erskine College on Tuesday night at New Trent Gym. Despite a strong start and moments of dominance, the Blue Bears were unable to hold off a late surge from the Flying Fleet, falling 3–2 (25–19, 15–25, 25–23, 21–25, 2–15).
Livingstone opened the match with a commanding first-set win, showcasing sharp execution and energy. After dropping the second set, the Blue Bears bounced back to take the third, putting them one set away from victory. However, Erskine responded with resilience, edging out the fourth set and then dominating the fifth with a stunning 10–0 run to start and closing out the match with a 15–2 finish.
