Stone Mountain, G.A. (Sept 23-24, 2024)- This past week, the Livingstone College golf team made a remarkable showing at the 39th Annual Thomas W. Dortch Jr., HBCU Golf Classic, clinching first place. The event highlighted the talent of the Blue Bears, with three players finishing in the top five.
Leading the charge was Ibrahim Aligo, who secured a commendable second place with impressive rounds shooting a 72 and 71. Not far behind, Christopher Baguma finished in fourth place, shooting a 73 in the first round and improving to a 72 in the second. Rounding out the top five for Livingstone was Denis Asaba, who recorded a 72 in round one and a 75 in round two, earning him fifth place.
The team will compete in the SAS Championship HBCU Invitational from October 11-13 at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, NC.
