SALISBURY, N.C. - Multi-time world champion and former Blue Bear Quanera Hayes has qualified for her second Olympics in the 4x400 Relay.
Hayes attended Livingstone from 2012-2015 and has been making the college proud ever since. She was a 12-time NCAA All-American and a four-time National Champion in the 200 and 400 meter dashes while at Livingstone. She competed in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics (pushed back a year because of Covid), where she finished seventh in the 400-meter dash.
She qualified for this year's Olympics by running a 50.55 in the 400 meters in the Olympic Trials in Oregon, meeting the Olympic Standard.
The Olympics are set to kick off Friday, July 26 and conclude Sunday, August 11.
