SALISBURY, N.C. - Livingstone men's basketball headed out to Raleigh, N.C. to take on St. Augustine's, falling short to the Falcons, 80-71. The Blue Bears trailed by 15 at the break and managed to cut the deficit in the second half but were unable to take back the lead.
With the loss, the Blue Bears fall to 9-11, 5-6 CIAA, while the Falcons improve to 11-10, 7-4 CIAA.
Junior
Khyree Temple led the team offensively, putting together a strong offensive performance with 20 points and three rebounds, shooting an efficient 8-11 from the field. Sophomore
Pharoah Lassiter and freshman
Andrae Shaw Jr. also notched double-digit points with 11 and 10, respectively. On the defensive side, freshman
James Nipper contributed three steals and a block, while senior
Detionne Leach snagged team-high six rebounds.
