SALISBURY, N.C. - Livingstone men's basketball defeated Fayetteville State, 59-54, Thursday evening on their home court. The Blue Bears got off to a hot start and held off a late comeback by the Broncos to go 2-0 on the week.
With the win, the Blue Bears improved 9-10 and 5-5 in the CIAA, while the Broncos fall to 10-9 and 5-4 in the CIAA.
Livingstone had a trio of players who nearly reached double-doubles in the victory, led by
Nathan Montaque who finished with 13 points and eight rebounds. Right behind him were
Khyree Temple, who concluded the game with 12 points and nine rebounds, and
Omarion Broderick who had nine points and nine rebounds.

The Blue Bears are back on the road for a pair of CIAA matchups next week, including matchups against St. Augustine's on Wednesday, January 31, before heading to rival Winston-Salem State on Saturday, February 3.
