Track and Field Finishes Second at Braves Classic

PEMBROKE, North Carolina – The Livingstone track and field program continued its 2023 Outdoor season at the Braves Classic, highlighted by two first-place finishes.  

Final Results 

On the women's side, Lydia Chapple took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.26. Amaya Williams followed in third place with a time of 13.35. 

Tanis Starkie placed fifth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 14.57. Taryn O'Neal took fifth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 28.38. 

Dajanee Alejandro-Ortiz took seventh in the 400-meters with a time of 1:08.05. Charity Collins placed eighth in the 400-meters with a time of 1:09.27. 

Sydney McDonald finished sixth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:44.91. McDonald also took third in 1500 with a time of 5:25.43. 

Allysa Fryer placed second in the long jump with a jump of 4.88 meters. Asiyah Clifton finished sixth in the long jump with a jump of 4.13 meters.

Alexis Lake placed sixth in the women's discus with a throw of 15.50 meters. Varvara Papakonstantinou took third in the Javelin with a throw of 25.75 meters. 

On the men's side, Tyler Wagner took second in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.48. Jordan Geddie finished eighth with a time of 11.95. Avery Fields took ninth with a time of 12.03. 

Jacob Adkins took sixth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:03.54. 

Jeffrey Steele took seventh in the 200-meter dash with a time of 26.12. David Bradford took first in the 400-meters with a time of 50.96. 

Darrell White finished third with a time of 53.33. Louis Gilbert took fifth with a time of 54.06. 

Curtxavier Fryson placed fourth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:08.94. 

Jayden Mungo took third in the 110 hurdles with a time of 16.30. Jaden Jenkins took first in the high jump with a jump of 1.79 meters. 

Luis Azar-Moise placed fifth in the long jump with a jump of 5.70 meters. Malik Head finished second, throwing 12.67 meters. Terry Williams took third in the men's discus with a throw of 33.09 meters. Jonathan Nunn placed third in the Javelin with a throw of 32.83 meters. Christian Bussey took fifth with a throw of 31.33 meters.
