CHARLOTTE, North Carolina - The Livingstone College women's tennis team fell to Johnson C. Smith in their season opener at Hornets Nest Park, 4-0.
The Golden Bulls swept the Blue Bears in doubles play. Genesis Missick and Keyvana Resper dropped to Kyndall Regins and Sanaa Hewitt, (3-2).
Shay Missick and Chengeto Moyana defeated Brenre Taylor and Azia Thomas on court 2, (6-0).
In singles play, Genesis Missick fought hard but dropped to her sister Shay Missick in the number one spot, (6-3). Brenre Taylor fell in the number two spot to Kyndall Ragins, (6-0), (1-0).
Marissa Paul dropped the number five spot (6-0), (6-0) against Taylor Proffett-Brooks. Tanniya Womack fell in the number six sport (6-0), (4-0) against Maykayla Ramos.
