HIGH POINT, North Carolina – The Livingstone track and field program opened the 2023 Outdoor season at the Webb Davidson Invitational, highlighted by eight personal records.
Final Results
On the women's side, Amaya Williams took seventh in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12.45. Williams is currently ranked eighth in the 100 meters in the CIAA. Williams also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.35. Not only is that a personal record for Williams, but she is ranked number one in the 200 meters in the CIAA.
Lydia Chapple finished eighth in the 100-meter dash with a time of 12:46. With that time Chapple is currently ranked number eight in the CIAA. The women's 4x400-meter team finished 4th with a time of 4:14.37. That ranks them sixth in the CIAA.
On the men's side, David Bradford finished seventh in the 400-meter dash, setting a personal record with a time of 49.21.
Timothy Ridenhour took eighth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:03.27. Ridenhour sits fourth in the 400-meter hurdles in the CIAA. Jonathan Nunn came in right behind Ridenhour, finishing ninth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:06.36. That time pus Nunn at fifth in the CIAA rankings.
The Men's 4x100 meter team placed second with a time of 43.07. Putting them fourth overall in the CIAA. The men's 4x400 meter team also finished third with a time of 3:29.24. They also sit fourth in the CIAA rankings.
Marcus Cook took ninth in the long jump with a jump of 6.37 meters. Cook also placed second in the triple jump with a new personal record, jumping 14.43 meters. Cook is currently ranked third in the Triple Jump in the CIAA.
