NEW YORK, New York – The Livingstone track and field program continued its indoor season at the HBCU Showcase which was highlighted by 12 top-ten finishes and several school records.

"The HBCU showcase was a great meet with some great HBCU teams competing," said head coach Justin Davis.
"The Armory track is a historic location and we were extremely honored to be able to compete."
On the women's side, Amaya Williams finished fourth in the 200-meters with a personal best of 25:56. Charity Collins set a new school record in the 500-meters with a time of 1:22.37.
Sydney McDonald finished ninth in the 800-meters with a personal best of 2:32.71. Taryn O'Neal took fifth in the women's triple jump with a jump of 10.82 meters.
The women's 4x200 meters established a school record in Saturday's meet. The women finished fifth with a time of 1:34.13. Finishing off the top ten performances was the women's 4x400 meters with a time of 4:12.27.
On the men's side, Curtxavier Fryson took fourth in the 800-meters with a time of 2:00.36. Adrian Taranto finished tenth in the 3000 meters with a time of 10:29.38. Taranto set a personal best in the mile with a time of 5:11.00.
Jaden Jenkins placed tenth in the high jump with a jump of 1.86 meters. Marcus Cook took fifth in the triple jump with a jump of 14.17 meters.
Luis Azar-Moise finished seventh in the triple jump with a jump of 13.94 meters. Jeremiah Brown recorded a personal best in the shot put with a throw of 10.51 meters.
The men's 4x200 established a school record in Saturday's meet and took eighth with a time of 1:34.13.
"We look forward to the upcoming competitions in preparation for the CIAA Conference Championships," said head coach Davis.
