MARS HILL, North Carolina – Livingstone Volleyball (0-8,0-5) dropped a non-conference matchup (14-25, 15-25, 16-25) to Mars Hill (12-1, 7-1) Tuesday evening at Stanford Arena.

The Blue Bears recorded 16 kills and 15 assists, eight aces, five blocks, and registered 33 digs. 

Mars Hill hit .289.

The Mountain Lions hit 52 kills in the match with 35 assists, two aces, and 10 blocks. 

Tiffany Chandler led the Blue Bears with seven kills, while Ja'Nya Lunnermon finished with 10 digs. Dekiya Wilson-Thomas posted eight assists.  

Set 1

• The Mountain Lions went on a 6-0 run to take an early 12-4 lead.
• The Blue Bears had a couple of 4-0 runs but still trailed by 8, 21-13.
• The Mountain Lions closed out set one with a 3-0 run, 25-14. 

Set 2

• The Mountian Lions took an early 7-0 lead. 
• The Blue Bears got within five on a 3-0 run, 12-7.
• The Blue Bears had a few more 3-0 runs but Ultimately, the Mountain Lions closed out set two, 25-14. 

Set 3

• Tiffany Chandler started set three off with a big kill for the Blue Bears.
• The Blue Bears kept it close early in the set. 
• The Mountain Lions pulled away with a 9-0 run, 18-7, 
• The Blue Bears fought back with a few 3-0 runs. 
• Ultimately, the Mountain Lions closed out the match with two errors by the Blue Bears.
