SALISBURY – Livingstone Volleyball (0-9,0-6) a 3-2 decision (25-27, 25-21, 19-25, 14-25, 9-15) to St. Augustine's (2-4-1, 2-4) Thursday evening at New Trent Gym.
Livingstone hit .060. The Blue Bears recorded 36 kills and 31 assists, 14 aces, three blocks, and registered 55 digs.
Saint Augustine's hit .181.
The Falcons hit 62 kills in the match with 42 assists, 12 aces, and four blocks.
Taylor Grant led the Blue Bears with 12 kills, three aces, and two blocks. While Bethaney Williams finished with 16 digs. Dekiya Wilson-Thomas posted 15 assists.
Set 1
- The Blue Bears went on a 4-0 run to take an early lead over the Falcons, a 9-5 lead.
- The Falcon cut the Blue Bear lead by 2 with a 4-0 run of their own, 19-17.
- The Falcons tied it up 22-22 with a kill by Tionna Graham.
- A service error by Sydney Moore would the Blue Bears back, 23-22.

- The Blue Bears and the Falcon kept set three close early. Both teams traded leads on almost every serve.
- A 4-0 and 6-0 run back to back for the Falcons gave them a 17-9 lead over the Blue Bears.
- The Blue Bears closed the gap with a 6-0 run and put them within three of the Falcons.

- The Blue Bears fought back and forth at the beginning of the set.

- A kill by Dajaneed Ajejandro-Ortiz gave the Blue Bears their final point of the set, 23-14.
- Ultimately, the Falcons took set four to tie it up 2-2 and send it to a deciding set.
Set 5
- The Falcons won the service to start set five.
- The Falcons would go on to take an early 5-0 lead.
- The Blue Bears tried to climb back but got only within five before the Falcons went on another 5-0 run.
- The Falcons, only needing two more points, would be interrupted by the Blue Bears' 3-0 run, 14-9.
- Ultimately, the Falcons closed out the match with an error by the Blue Bears
