The Blue Bears Defeat The Vikings In 2022 Down East Classic, 19-0

ROCKY MOUNT, North Carolina — The Blue Bear defense dominated the field in Saturday night's game, forcing a total of four fumbles, keeping the Vikings offense scoreless in the 2022 Down East Classic.

Andre Harris ran in for a seven-yard touchdown as time in regulation expired and led the Blue Bears over the Vikings, 19-0, on Saturday Night at the Rocky Mount Sports Complex.

The Blue Bears advance to 1-1 and will return to action on Saturday for a 6:00 p.m. kickoff on the road against Virginia Union University on The CIAA Sports Network.

Both teams remained scoreless in the first quarter. The Blue Bears finally got on the board first as quarterback Emmanuel Mukuamu ran it in for a 15-yard touchdown.

A fumble recovery by defensive end Christian Bostic at the Vikings 14 – gave Livingstone the ball back with an opportunity to extend their lead early in the third.

Quandarious Smith lead the Blue Bears to their second touchdown with a one-yard rush up the middle.

Bostic had a breakout game, with eight tackles, four solos and four assists. 

Malik Head made his first start this season and finished the night with five total tackles.

The Blue Bears return to action Saturday, Sept. 17, vs Virginia Union University. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. ET.
