RALEIGH, North Carolina – Livingstone Volleyball (0-12,0-9) a 3-0 decision (6-25, 17-25, 17-25) to Shaw University (12-6, 8-0) Saturday afternoon at C.C Spaulding Gym.

The Blue Bears recorded 12 kills and 11 assists, three aces, three blocks, and registered 22 digs. 

Shaw hit .468.

The Bears hit 45 kills in the match with 39 assists, 11 aces, and four blocks. 

Taylor Grant led the Blue Bears with four kills. While Ja'Nya Lunnermon finished with six digs  

Set 1

• The Bears went up early against the Blue Bears with two 7-0 runs, 16-2.
• The Blue Bears couldn't find a rhythm throughout the set. 
• Another big 6-0 run by the Bears brought them to set point. 
• Ultimately, a kill by Cheyenne Hodges gave the Bears set one. 

Set 2

• The Blue Bears started set two with a 4-0 run. 
• The Bears took the lead with a 7-0 run, 13-10.
• The Bears took a six-point lead with another 4-0 run, 19-13. 
• The Blue Bears got a down by six after a 5-0 run by the Bears. 
• An error by the Bear's allowed the Blue Bears to get within four, 21-17.
• The Bears closed out set two with a 4-0 run, 24-17.

Set 3

• Dekiya Wilson-Thomas started set three off with an ace. 
• The Bears went on a 6-0 run to go up by five over the Blue Bears, 10-5.
• The Blue Bear were back within one with an attack error by Iiani Myers, 15-14.
• Set three was free game until the Bears pulled away with a 6-0 run to close out the match, 25-17.
