Salisbury, NC- The Livingstone Blue Bears are ready to turn the page to another athletic season with 10 overall games, four of those being the host school. Coming off of a 3-7 record last year, the Blue Bears are ready for an exciting season under the direction of Head Coach
Daryl Williams, who plans to lead the Blue Bears to 1-0 this Thursday. "We are ready and excited about the start of the season, we have a great group of guys returning and a few new players we added to help give us some depth we really need late in the game", says Head Coach Williams.
All three wins last year by the Blue Bears were road games but there is hope to change that around this year, with new and fresh talent recruited from major schools along with 14 returning starters that plan to set the bar high for the team this season. With key players like senior
Kenneth White who was named All CIAA 1
st team last year finishing the season with 100 tackles and five sacks, and
Drew Powell who was the 2012 CIAA Rookie Of The Year, ranking 2nd in the league in passing touchdowns and 3
rd in yards, the Blue Bears will be a team to watch out for.
This will be the first gridiron meeting against Millersville. The Marauders had a 1-10 overall record last season.
The game will be at Millersville University tomorrow at
Chryst Field at Biemesderfer Stadium in PA.
