Roger Ray named BOXTOROW Basketball All-American
SALISBURY – Roger Ray, a junior guard from Raleigh, North Carolina has been named to the BOXTOROW Division II All-America men's basketball team.
Ray, has been has been named to the All-Conference Team for the second time in his career. Ray is ranked second in the conference averaging 21.2 points per game.
Ray is ranked eighth in the nation in free throws made and ninth in free throws attempted. Ray, from Raleigh, N.C., scored a career high of 38 points in win over Claflin and surpasses the 1,000 point mark for his career.
Ray claimed his spot in the Livingstone program record book by becoming the Blue Bears' all-time assists leader.
He also captured All-Tournament team honors as well. Ray was recently second team of the NABC Coaches' Division II All-District team.
BOXTOROW has administered the All-America teams since 2009.
