Livingstone College Athletics

Curtis Johnson enters his 2nd year at Livingstone College. Last season Coach Johnson coached the Linebackers. In the upcoming season Coach Johnson will be coaching the Tight Ends. 
Prior to Livingstone, Coach Johnson served as a Head Coach and Assistant Head Coach for Commerce High School in Springfield, MA winning three State Championship from 2000-2003. Coach Johnson coached at Commerce two different times from 2000-2009 and 2019-2020 as Head Coach. 
Prior to Commerce, Coach Johnson served as assistant head coach at Annapolis Area Christian School in Severn, MD winning back-to-back State Championships in 2016 and 2017. 
Coach Johnson is a passionate God-fearing coach and former athlete with over 40 years of coaching and playing experience. Coach Johnson played his collegiate football as both a linebacker and offensive lineman for Georgia Southern University from 1985-1990. Coach Johnson also spent time playing in the Professional Arena Football league. . In addition to his coaching career, Coach Johnson currently serves in the capacity of a Substance Abuse Counselor and Youth Mentor. Coach Johnson is a native of Jacksonville, FL. Coach Johnson is a Retired US Army veteran and father of five adult children.
