ROCK HILL, SC — The Livingstone College women's volleyball team continued its winning ways Tuesday night, earning a straight-set victory over Clinton College, 25-19, 25-16, 25-12.

The Lady Blue Bears controlled the match from the start, using a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive play to secure the sweep.

Hailey Henriquez led Livingstone offensively with nine kills, while Mya Dalpiaz added eight kills and Celestine Hayes recorded four. Dalpiaz also contributed three service aces, with Tialofa Alofipo and Henriquez adding two and one, respectively.

At the net, Oliwia Jaroszewicz paced the Lady Blue Bears with four blocks, while Destiny Drakeford added three. Masa Simovic directed the Livingstone offense with 19 assists, followed by Justyce McKennie with 14 assists.

Defensively, Alofipo recorded a team-high 12 digs, while Jaroszewicz added 10 and Simovic contributed eight.

As a team, Livingstone finished the match hitting .278, recording 34 kills on 79 attempts with 12 errors.

Clinton was led by six kills in the third set, while recording 20 kills and 12 errors for the match.

The Lady Blue Bears will continue their road trip on Tuesday, Sept. 15, when they travel to Columbia, S.C., to take on Benedict College. First serve is scheduled for 6 p.m.
