2026 ITA Tennis Academic Accolades

Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team Honors; Four Named ITA Scholar-Athletes

SALISBURY, N.C. – The Livingstone College Tennis program has been recognized by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) for its outstanding academic achievements, earning 2026 ITA All-Academic Team honors while placing four student-athletes on the 2026 ITA Scholar-Athlete list.

Across NCAA Division II women's tennis, 649 student-athletes earned 2026 ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, while 95 programs received ITA All-Academic Team recognition.

The ITA All-Academic Team award recognizes programs that achieve a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale. To earn ITA Scholar-Athlete honors, student-athletes must maintain a minimum 3.50 GPA for the academic year and meet all institutional eligibility requirements.

Representing Livingstone College as 2026 ITA Scholar-Athletes are:
  • Aliyah Langevine – 3.5 GPA
  • Shonté Sargeant – 3.9 GPA
  • Ashley Cooke – 3.9 GPA
  • Aida Garba – 3.9 GPA
The combination of team and individual honors reflects the Blue Bears' commitment to excellence both in the classroom and on the tennis court. The ITA's recognition highlights the hard work, discipline, and dedication demonstrated by the entire program throughout the academic year.

The Livingstone College Women's Tennis program continues to uphold the institution's tradition of developing student-athletes who achieve success academically while competing at the NCAA Division II level.
