. — In a high‑energy matchup that lived up to every expectation, the Livingstone College Blue Bears battled their way to an 85–82 overtime victory over Winston-Salem State on Tuesday night inside the CE Gaines Center. The win marks one of Livingstone's most resilient performances of the season, overcoming a halftime deficit and outlasting the Rams in a tense extra period.
Winston-Salem State led 41–32 at the break, but the Blue Bears regrouped and stormed back behind improved shooting, strong rebounding, and key contributions from both the starting unit and the bench. Livingstone poured in 43 points in the second half while holding the Rams to 34, forcing overtime with clutch shot-making and timely defensive stops.
Jeremiah Mobley came off the bench and delivered a huge performance, dropping 21 points on 7‑of‑13 shooting, including four three‑pointers and a perfect 3‑of‑3 at the free‑throw line.
James Nipper added 16 points, attacking the basket with confidence and providing needed scoring in crucial stretches.
Kenneth Tyree Jr. added 12 points and 6 assists, helping orchestrate the Blue Bears' offense.
