Salisbury, NC — Livingstone College Softball has made a powerful statement on the national stage, finishing the 2025 season with top three rankings in multiple NCAA Division II statistical categories, including 2nd in On-Base Percentage, 3rd in Batting Average, and 1st in Stolen Bases Per Game.
The Lady Blue Bears posted a team on-base percentage of .447, fueled by 247 hits, 99 walks, and 10 hit-by-pitches over 688 at-bats. Their offensive consistency also earned them a .359 team batting average, placing them among the elite hitting programs in the country.
Livingstone also dominated the base paths, leading the nation with 3.46 stolen bases per game (90 stolen bases, 17 caught stealing over 26 games).
Individual National Standouts
Two players earned national recognition for their batting prowess:
- Dusti Abshire (Alum) – Ranked 27th nationally with a .440 batting average (33 hits in 75 at-bats)
- Cianna Bullock – Ranked 31st nationally with a .439 batting average (36 hits in 82 at-bats)
CIAA Conference Champions in Offense and Defense
In the 2025 CIAA season, Livingstone College Softball claimed 1st place in both offensive and defensive categories, a remarkable leap from their 12th place finish in 2024. This turnaround reflects the team's commitment to growth, discipline, and excellence.
