NEW YORK, N.Y. – Recent Livingstone College men's basketball graduate
Jamal Cannady Jr. has been selected to play in the HBCU All-Star Dream Classic, to be held on Saturday, August 9, at Rucker Park in New York, N.Y.
Cannady Jr., a native of Baltimore, Md, and a transfer from Trevecca Nazarene University, made a major impact at Livingstone College in the 2024–25 season. He finished the year with 138 field goals, 19 three-pointers, and 141 free throws, averaging 16.1 points per game.
40 of the best HBCU Basketball players in the world will display their athletic abilities on the historic hallowed grounds of Rucker Park in Harlem, New York. The experience will be the merging of HBCU sports, education and traditions with Urban Streetball Culture. These exceptional athletes will represent the CIAA, MEAC, SIAC, SWAC, Gulf Coast, NAIA and independent conferences. Coaches, G-Leagues, European Leagues and Sports Agents will be in attendance.
