Orangeburg, S.C.- In a thrilling matchup, the Lady Blue Bears of Livingstone College secured a hard-fought victory against Claflin University with a final score of 66-62.
Morgan Kelson led the way for the Lady Blue Bears, putting up 23 points in 34 minutes of play. Her efficient shooting, including 3-of-7 from beyond the arc and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free-throw line, proved crucial in keeping her team in the game and sealing the win.
Samiyah Briggs added 14 points, showing her all-around game with six rebounds, two assists, and four steals. She also hit one of the team's two three-pointers, demonstrating her ability to stretch the floor.Â
Bria Griffith contributed a solid 11 points, including a perfect 3-for-3 shooting from the field and a flawless 4-for-4 from the free-throw line. Her calm presence in clutch moments helped the team maintain control.
